The 47th Medical Company NMSG(MRC) is the first New Mexico statewide Medical Reserve Corps. It is a formal unit of the New Mexico Department of Military Affairs, New Mexico State Guard. The 47th Medical Company NMSG(MRC) is a uniformed, volunteer organization of medical and non-medical personnel who are trained to assist public health authorities and emergency response agencies in a natural or man-induced emergency anywhere in the State. Headquartered at the National Guard Armory, 249 Armory Road, Las Cruces, NM 88005, the 47th Medical Company NMSG(MRC) expects to grow to more than 200 volunteers and to establish detachments at National Guard Armories in underserved communities throughout New Mexico.
